Volume One of the Texas Music Project CD series, released September 2003, has become the best-selling Texas compilation CD in history. Thanks to supporters of great Texas music and music education in Texas schools, TMP's first CD has helped generate an estimated $500,000 in "free" publicity for music education and TMP sponsors. More importantly, TMP will also distribute $200,000 for music education grants in 2004. Schools can apply for these Texas Music Project grants on the Texas Commission on the Arts
