Michael Hatley

After 37 years of as a writer and creative director for Word Records and producing award winning advertising at The Richards Group for tier 1 brands Chick-fil-A, Home Depot, Patron, Dodge RAM and others, Michael walked away from it all to put wheels on dreams for purpose driven non-profits.


Since 2014 Michael has worked as Vice President of Corporate Communications for Family Legacy Missions where he gets to use everything he’s ever learned to do humanitarian work for orphans in Lusaka, Zambia on the Southern part of the African continent through efforts in corporate communications, branding strategy, creative services, social media, donor and constituent relations, writing and publishing an inspirational magazine, website design, fundraising gala events (with President and Mrs. George W. Bush and Dr. Ben Carson), logos, videos and short films.


And, he loves the transformational impact Texas Music Project has on the lives of teens, children of fallen soldiers, secondary schools and emerging artists.
