Pappy-400x400

Paul “Pappy” Middleton’s first recording was with his high school band, The Red Eyes, in 1964. That’s when he realized how important it was to know what the audio engineer knew. He started asking questions, doing sessions and playing gigs until he was mixing tours for platinum recording artists in 1982, which he’s been doing ever since. He feels very fortunate to have worked for/or toured with many of the finest of his heroes: Bonnie Raitt (for the last 27 years), Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne, Bruce Hornsby, Eric Clapton, the Stones, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Chris Isaak, Lyle Lovett, and many, many more. In 1996, he started building the final vision of a young man’s dream, Palmyra Studios. Pappy could not be prouder of what’s been accomplished at Palmyra. After less than 2 years of operation, the studio recorded the 8-week, #1 hit multi-platinum selling album, Bag Lady (Momma’s Gun) for Erykah Badu. He is truly honored by the fine artists that he’s had the pleasure of working with and looking forward to all of the new ones that are finding their way to their musical heart. palmyrastudios.com
