Why This Partnership Matters
At Texas Music Project, we believe music is more than entertainment.
Music is healing.
Music is education.
Music is Hope.
Music is opportunity.
Our partnership with MAX.Live brings together two organizations that share a common belief: music has the power to transform lives, music has the power to heal.
While MAX.Live helps connect artists, fans, and brands through innovative music experiences, Texas Music Project works every day to ensure music reaches those who need it most, including children in hospitals, students pursuing their musical dreams, and communities facing hardship.
One of the first initiatives supported through the MAX.Live campaign is providing professional carbon fiber guitars to Children’s Health Dallas.

Why carbon fiber?
In a hospital setting, every instrument must be thoroughly sanitized after each use, often multiple times throughout the day. Traditional wood guitars simply aren’t built for this environment. Frequent exposure to hospital-grade disinfectants can damage the wood, wear down the finish and strings, and significantly shorten the instrument’s lifespan.
Carbon fiber guitars are different.
They are exceptionally durable, resistant to moisture and harsh cleaning products, and continue to sound and play beautifully no matter how often they’re sanitized. That means music therapists can confidently use them with patient after patient, giving more children the opportunity to experience the comfort, creativity, and healing power of music every single day.
Beyond providing these specialized instruments, this partnership will also help us:
- Deliver music therapy resources to children’s hospitals across Texas
- Expand the Music Heals initiative
- Grow the Song of Hope program for pediatric patients
- Provide instruments and educational opportunities to young musicians
- Create pathways from Classroom to Stage for the next generation of artists
- Reach more families, schools, hospitals, and communities through the power of music
When the music industry, artists, brands, and communities unite behind a shared purpose, extraordinary things happen. Together, we’re not simply funding programs, we’re creating moments of hope, resilience, and healing that will be felt by children and families across Texas for years to come.
