Our New Ambassador Laura Linda

A huge thanks to Texas Music Project Ambassador Laura Linda for hosting the spectacular “24 Karat Release Party,” an event dedicated to raising awareness for the impact of music therapy and benefiting San Antonio Methodist Children’s Hospital. The San Antonio community will gather to celebrate the debut of Laura Linda’s latest country single, “Honey Boy, Honey Girl,” featuring George Mercado. The Tejano music community is already rallying around this cause, with Tejano Nation press release and live remote broadcasts planned. Proceeds from the event will go towards fulfilling the Music Therapy Program’s wish list for the Methodist Children’s Hospital and supporting the Texas Music Project’s Music Heals program.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the evening will feature a special presentation of a State of Texas Resolution by Senator José Menéndez, officially declaring October 12th as “Music Heals Day” to honor the Texas Music Project mission. How incredible is that? We’re thrilled to see music therapy and the life-changing programs in hospitals across Texas receive the recognition and support they deserve.

Laura’s artistic journey expanded into regional Mexican music with the release of Ni Un Tequila and Cuidarte El Alma. Her exceptional talent was recognized when she was awarded the All Star Music Awards’ Best Female Entertainer of the Year in 2023, a testament to her dynamic presence in the music scene. That same year, her influence extended beyond music as San Antonio Monthly Magazine honored her as the 2023 Socialite of the Year.

Her roots in Country Music, touring with luminaries like Mark Chesnutt, Tim McGraw, Restless Heart, and Pam Tillis, laid the groundwork for a career defined by constant evolution and artistic growth. Her transition to Tejano music saw her sharing stages with genre legends and gracing television screens, showcasing her multifaceted talent.

Offstage, Laura Linda’s commitment to community shines. She has directed the Dallas Sunset High School Bisonette Drill Team, founded the Cervera Dance Company, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas at Dallas.

In her personal life, Laura Linda finds strength and inspiration in her family. Married to Luis Escalante, Jr., and a devoted mother to Gianna Sky, she attributes her success to divine guidance, unwavering familial support, and the loyalty of her fans. Her parents, Dorothy and Frank Cervera, Sr., along with her sister, Rosie Cervera, have been instrumental in her journey.

Laura Linda’s story is a narrative of resilience, talent, and passion, continuously inspiring and influencing the music world.
