Our Story
Bringing Hope and Healing Through Music
Texas Music Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2003 with a simple but powerful mission: to bring hope and healing to children in need through music education, therapy, and access to live music experiences.
For more than two decades, Texas Music Project has used music as a force for good by raising funds, donating instruments, and creating opportunities for children to learn, perform, and connect through music. From classrooms to hospital rooms to live stages, the organization meets children where they are and helps them experience the transformative power of music.
Texas Music Project’s awareness is valued at more than $5 million. It has raised over $1.5 million to provide instruments and programs to more than 750,000 youth in need. Millions more children have experienced the power of music by performing onstage, attending a live concert, or songwriting and recording their own message of hope.
At its core, Texas Music Project believes that music is more than entertainment, it is a tool for education, connection, and healing.
