A Student-Led Benefit Concert Hearts in Harmony
Today, we are proud to spotlight a group of young leaders, Ava Sulamain and Cersei LeSage, who embody the mission of spreading the joy and impact of music in our communities.
Cersei and Ava, are high school Juniors who attend Lake Travis High School. Together with the members of Hearts in Harmony, are turning their passion for music into meaningful impact. Through their student led initiative, Hearts in Harmony, is hosting a benefit concert to raise funds in support of Texas Music Project’s statewide programs. Their leadership is not only admirable. It is catalytic. By mobilizing her peers and community, they are helping amplify the message that music is not just extracurricular but essential.
Why This Matters
When students step forward to champion music education and music therapy, it reinforces what we know to be true:
Music strengthens emotional regulation and resilience.
Music connects communities across generations.
Music heals.
Through programs like Music Heals and Song of Hope, Texas Music Project has reached hospitals, classrooms, and communities across the state and beyond. Cersei’s efforts are part of a growing movement of young advocates who understand that creativity and compassion can coexist as leadership tools.
A Special Contribution
In honor of this incredible student led effort, Texas Music Project will be donating a Taylor 3/4 BT1 Spruce Guitar to be raffled at the benefit concert, giving one lucky attendee the chance to take home an instrument that represents possibility, imagination, and impact.
This contribution is made possible thanks to the continued generosity of our friends at: Easton Park and Mueller communities, managed by CoHere, and Texas Music Project.
