Texas Music Project Donor Spotlight

At Texas Music Project, our community is flourishing, and so is our heartfelt appreciation for all the donors and ambassadors who help make the magic happen. Whether you are a donor, artist, performer, or volunteer, your continuous support has made a tremendous impact! Check out some of our notable contributors who are also making an impact in their communities through music.

Newport Festivals Foundation

Newport Festivals Foundation recently made a generous contribution on behalf of Texas native band “The Oh Hellos,” who will be performing at the renowned Newport Folk Festival this summer. We are honored to have been selected as recipients of this donation and even more thrilled to connect with fellow advocates for music, music education, and its impact on the community. This donation towards our Music Education Program has enabled us to reach schools like Townview High School in Dallas, providing them with much-needed resources for their music programs.

Laura Linda

A recent donation from local artist Laura Linda exemplifies how local musicians and artists can directly become involved in our programs and create a meaningful impact in their community. Laura Linda will serve as an ambassador for Texas Music Project in San Antonio, collaborating with the Music Therapy Program at Methodist Children’s Hospital. Her donation goes towards an instrument wish list for the program, and she and her team have taken on the role of raising the remaining $4,500 to fulfill the entire wish list for the Music Therapy program in San Antonio, Texas.

Music for a Cause – Student-Led Organization

Talk about great role models in their community! Music for a Cause, a student-run organization from Greenhill School, has been donating the proceeds of their efforts to Texas Music Project over the last couple of years. This year alone, they have already donated a significant amount. The club holds student-led concerts and sells refreshments to raise funds, which are then matched by one of their own donors. We love the heart of what these young musicians and performers are doing, not just for our cause but for their own classmates and community. Their efforts have provided a creative outlet and stage for their peers, allowing music to bring people together in their community. Thank you for choosing Texas Music Project to continue your reach.
