TWO-TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ARTIST LAUREN DAIGLE
Sometimes, life offers moments where missions align and magic happens. Lauren Daigle’s Behold Christmas Show in Grand Prairie, TX was one such moment, as the Texas Music Project (TMP) joined forces with The Price Fund to open for the Christmas Spectacular and spotlight the transformative power of music.
Lauren Daigle’s nonprofit, The Price Fund, is dedicated to empowering music education and creating care for those in need. This mission resonates deeply with TMP’s vision of bringing healing and unity through music. We were honored to receive the donation of $25,000 on behalf of the Price Fund and look forward to continue collaborations with them in the future.
CLASSROOMS TO STAGE
Five exceptional young artists got to share their passion and talent on a world class stage with the two-time Grammy Award winning artist. Aria Kutty, Greenhill School student and founder of Music for a Cause TX, whose advocacy for music education reflects TMP’s values, has raised over $1,000 dollars for our Music Heals Initiative. Through our Clasrooms to Stage program Aria performed along with fellow seniors Shreya Chhaya and Cassie Rosa, showcasing their collective talent and love for music. Joining them on stage to close out the night with her own original music was none other than Remy Reilly, TMP’s Artist Ambassador, a rising star known for her soulful performances.
This event was more than a performance; it’s a celebration and culmination of how TMP nurtures young talent, helping them transition from classrooms to stages while promoting music as a tool for impact and change in schools, communities and hospitals across Texas.
SONG OF HOPE
Through our current project Song of Hope, a chapter of our Music Heals Initiative, TMP’s Student Ambassador Chloee Rae, who is a testament to the impact of TMP’s programs, opened the event with a video performance of the song Thank You for the Music. This song is the debut original of our Song of Hope project, where young patients collaborate to write songs that are professionally produced so that they can take home an anthem of hope throughout their healing journey. In collaboration with therapists, music producers, and TMP professionals, patients are actively involved as they contribute lyrics, share their stories, and shape the melodies, resulting in a tangible reminder of resilience and healing.
We could not have orchestrated these collaborations any better. But this is a great example of how music brings us together and creates such a lasting impact in the lives of those who it reaches and it is the best example of why we do what we do here at Texas Music Project. Thank you to everyone who was involved, and a special thanks to Lauren Daigle and the Price Fund for bringing us all together and sharing the platform for such a great cause.
