What started as the Layers Project with Children’s Health is now Song of Hope to reach all hospitals in Texas. A Song of Hope is a chapter in our Music Heals Journey born from the story of an inspiring former patient and her family. You are helping us make a difference and our impact is creating a new song of hope for pediatric patients all across Texas. We aim to extend the benefits of music therapy beyond the hospital walls. Inspired by TMP’s Music Heals Initiative, this program ensures that young patients leave with more than memories—they take home a personal anthem of hope.
In collaboration with therapists, music producers, and TMP professionals, patients are actively involved in creating their own “Song of Hope.” They contribute lyrics, share their stories, and shape the melodies, resulting in a tangible reminder of resilience and healing.
One shining success is TMP Student Ambassador Chloee Rae, a former patient who wrote and recorded the heartfelt song Thank You for the Music, which she will debut at Lauren Daigle’s Behold Christmas Show on Saturday, December 7th.
Aligning Missions for Impact
the collaboration with Lauren Daigle and The Price Fund underscores TMP’s mission to bring the healing power of music to those who need it most. By combining Lauren’s commitment to music education with TMP’s innovative programs like Classrooms to Stage and the Song of Hope, this partnership exemplifies how music can inspire hope, unity, and positive change.
Our music heals program is for disadvantaged children who need inspiration to succeed in life; music is the perfect medium. Our program provides instruments, features seminars, hands on training and live performance opportunities at world class venues. These events are life changing experiences for all involved.
In December 2012 and 2013, TMP produced a talent showcase at both the House of Blues and Majestic Theater in Dallas, Texas to benefit 1800 children and families of fallen soldiers (Snowball Express). The model for this music therapy program has also extended to the Texas Children Hospital Houston, Dell Children Medical Austin, Christus Children’s Hospital San Antonio, Hermann Memorial Children’s Houston, Cooks Children’s Ft. Worth and Medical Children’s Hospital in Dallas and Plano.
