Chloee Rae’s Journey from Patient to Inspiration

Every song begins with a story — and Chloee Rae’s is one that continues to inspire hearts far beyond the hospital walls where it began.

As a former patient who discovered her voice through music therapy, Chloee’s journey embodies everything the Texas Music Project’s Song of Hope Initiative stands for: transforming pain into purpose, and fear into melody. With the guidance of caring music therapists and TMP’s creative team, Chloee turned her own hospital experience into a heartfelt anthem titled Thank You for the Music.”

The song captures what words alone can’t — gratitude, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of a young artist who found healing in the power of sound.

The impact reached Grammy-winning artist Lauren Daigle where she had the incredible opportunity to meet, share her story and receive her autograph.

Today, that same song is resonating across the country. “Thank You for the Music” has been nominated for Social Impact Video of the Year (Female) at the 2025 Josie Music Awards in Nashville — one of the most prestigious recognition’s in independent music.

This nomination isn’t just a milestone for Chloee; it’s a celebration of every child who has ever picked up an instrument or sung a lyric as a way to find strength. It highlights what TMP’s mission is all about — using music as a vehicle for healing and connection.

Chloee Rae has also become a powerful voice for awareness and advocacy. She has appeared on major platforms including WFAA’s Daybreak on Channel 8, Newsmax, and radio stations across Texas, bringing attention to the mission behind Song of Hope and the incredible impact that music therapy can have on young patients. Her story is inspiring families, artists, and communities to see music not just as entertainment — but as medicine for the soul.

Through Song of Hope, we partner with hospitals like Cook Children’s Medical Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hermann Children’s, Dell Children’s, and Methodist Children’s Hospital to help young patients write and record their own songs. These creations become more than music — they are personal legacies of courage that echo long after recovery.

It’s been an amazing journey for our Song of Hope Initiative with Chloee Rae, and we can’t wait to see what other opportunities open up. With every lyric written and every story shared, we are reminded that music truly heals. Are you our next Ambassador?
