Texas Music Project develops and produces positive life changing music education programs and experiences for disadvantaged youth.
Our current initiative focuses on our “Music Heals” program for children’s hospitals in Texas. A music library of young rising stars has been created to entertain, inspire and educate patients.

Coldplay supports TMP & Donates Keyboard
Sure, Coldplay is a worldwide phenomenon and Grammy-winning band, but did you know they also are a big supporter of the arts? In March, during the stop in Dallas on their Music of the Spheres World Tour, Coldplay chose TMP as their charity of choice to donate a Yamaha keyboard. The artist and TMP Board member “Blurry” will be presenting this keyboard to Dell Children's Hospital where it will help bring joy and healing to young patients.

We are still riding the excitement from the absolutely awesome experience we had at Turn Up! At The Frontiers of Flight Museum in Love Field. There were terminal tours, exhibitions, crafts, science, food and fun and we got to be a part of it all by gracing the events guests with the tunes and talents of several Texas natives ready to take off on their own musical journeys..

Our Programs
Since 2003, our programs align with all national and international studies showing the importance of music education in young lives. We have raised funds and awareness for the lack of musical learning opportunities for youth in Texas schools.
Our Mission
As a 501c3 non-profit organization, Texas Music Project’s primary mission is simple: To help raise funds and awareness for music education programs in Texas schools and the community in general. TMP is a grassroots resource donating instruments, lessons and mentorship for all students to have an equal opportunity to learn the benefits of music education in their lives.
Our History
Texas Music Project was formed in 2003 and has raised over $1.5m for programs and grants, reached over 2m youth and our ‘awareness’ efforts have reached over 5m. For over 17 years, we’ve been at the forefront of supporting music education in Texas.
